Cosmic Cowboys
"Cosmic Cowboys" is a project born from the different styles of two young venetian producers: Nicola Sansoni aka Randomatique and Kaled Jabari aka Kaledj. Big friends since they were 10 years old, they got really soon into electronic music. Influenced by artists as Ian Pooley, King Unique, Francois K, Chicken Lips, Santos, Frankie Knucles, Junior Jack and Kid Creme at first and then from names as Jimpster, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Ripperton, Martin Buttrich, Dirt Crew and Agnes they developed a style that couldn't be defined with other name than "cosmic", edging from deep-house tracks to tech-house, to dub and to more groovy works but always with an emotional touch able to create a special intensity in their music. Sam Proton
In May of 2001, Sam founded Proton Radio. The internet radio revolution made it possible to bring the Proton Project ideas to a streaming format that made it easy for people to hear their favorite underground DJs online. Starting very small, Proton’s goal was to create a roster of weekly or monthly shows from bedroom DJs throughout North America to showcase their talent. This idea quickly caught on, and by 2005, Proton had a selection of shows spanning the entire globe, from Dubai to Tokyo, Los Angeles to Athens. Now in it’s 7th year, Proton Radio has become the most respected online radio station for up and coming talent as well as established artists and DJs. Recently, DJs such as John Digweed, Anthony Pappa and James Zabiela have joined Proton. Uniting the underground with the mainstream, Proton has truly evolved. (read more)
