First let's get a few things out of the way. Yes, I am/was that bloke in Everything But The Girl. Yes, I recorded 'North Marine Drive' in my youth. Yes, I have been a DJ for over 10 years. Yes, I wrote a book in 1996 about surviving an extremely rare life-threatening illness called 'Patient'. Yes, I now run two independent record labels called Buzzin' Fly (House and Techno flavours) and Strange Feeling (Alt-Indie). OK, that's that cleared up. (read more)

Kate Simko
Kate Simko is a Chicago-based pianist and electronic music producer. Combining her musical training with her love for electronic music, Kate is continually exploring a dialogue between the classical tradition, jazz and electronic music - her strongest musical influences. First exposed to electronic music around 1994, in the mid-nineties Kate attended many underground electronic music parties in Chicago, Detroit and St. Louis and was blessed to see the some of the most classic DJ's and producers perform their music live on a regular basis. Kate went on to study Music Technology and Piano at Northwestern University, which gave her access to production gear while she advanced her formal musical training. While at the university, Kate also served as the Dance and Hip-Hop music director of the radio station, WNUR - the largest college radio station in U.S. Reflecting her musical background, Kate's music possesses a unique harmonic, structural and spatial depth.
