First let's get a few things out of the way. Yes, I am/was that bloke in Everything But The Girl. Yes, I recorded 'North Marine Drive' in my youth. Yes, I have been a DJ for over 10 years. Yes, I wrote a book in 1996 about surviving an extremely rare life-threatening illness called 'Patient'. JAMES TEEJ began his journey into electronic music in 1995, in Canmore, Alberta, Canada, when a friend gave him a cassette tape, containing the first House music he had heard. Already a classically trained musician who had been studying Piano, Guitar, and Latin and Jazz Drums, James was instantly moved and had found his calling. He quickly saved up, bought his first pair of Technic 1200’s and mixer, and began collecting every record, tape and CD he could get his hands on. (read more)
