ClubClass presents Futurism
Welcome to the world of Futurism, ClubClass' home for the next generation of DJs and producers.
Futurism launched in February 2005 as a vehicle in which to showcase ClubClass’ excellent stable of up-and-coming DJs and producers. Originally starting with the quartet of James Talk, Sam Ball, John Barber and Mark Fanciulli, the roster was boosted later on in the year with the addition of Luke Dzierzek, Jon Gurd and Nick Liousias. Futurism exists in the form of a club night with nights held at River in Maidstone and at Turnmills and The Ministry Of Sound in London, as well as a DJ management agency looking after the respective artists.
Jon Gurd
With a CV that already boasts its own record label, radio show, world class productions and DJ appearances alongside many of the DJ greats, it’s evident that at the age of just 22 Jon Gurd has already matured into a highly respected artist. He pushes an intelligent, underground sound that encompasses house and electro, delivered in a very distinctive fashion. As a former resident at Slinky in Bournemouth, Jon has starred alongside the likes of Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty and Mauro Picotto, whilst his latest residency for Portsmouth based Punchfunk has resulted in sets alongside Justin Robertson, Phil Kieran and Trevor Rockliffe.
