From an EP on Bedrock in 2004 to the widely remixed "Stride" in 2011, Derek Howell has been a fixture in our progressive house community for the better part of a decade. With prolific contributions to the microCastle and Proton Music discographies, Derek's music has made it's way into innumerable charts, mixes, and compilations -- supported in the last few months on Proton Radio by Hernan Cattaneo, Greg Benz, Alexey Sonar, and Francesco Pico. Currently at work on a new pair of singles for the label, Derek returns to Proton Music with a remix EP of "Puzzle Box", originally released on his limited Master Lux Co. imprint in 2009.
Remixes come in from Proton familiars Sezer Uysal, director of the Dark Pleasure music label and radio show, alongside rapid rising nubreed Santiago Garcia, co-founder of the Baires music label and radioshow.

James Warren (Baroque/Proton/Olaris/Silk)
More superb output from Proton. Sezer laying down a monstrously deep bass line and an epic groove and build from Santiago Garcia. Full support.
John Digweed (Bedrock, Global Underground)
Good stuff
Paul Hazendonk (Manual Music)
Nice pack! Both mixes very cool, but I'm most likely to play the Santiago Garcia remix.
Mitch Alexander (microCastle)
Derek always delivers something interesting that still has a good dance floor sensibility, Puzzle Box is no exception, very cool stuff. Remixes are on the money as well!
Mango (Mango Alley)
can't pick the best out of two - both are cool!
Nick Stoynoff (Armada, Black Hole, Baroque, Proto)
wicked, both are excellent!
