Mark Musselman

Mark Musselman, one of San Francisco's most acclaimed breakbeat DJ's, is also one half of the power tag-team vigilante duo Momu along with Jondi (of internationally renowned production team Jondi & Spesh). Momu's sound to date; wicked breaks, future tech sounds, breathtaking melodies, sinister FX, and devastating arrangments that wreak havoc on the dancefloor. Both Mark and Jondi are residents at SF's favorite mid-weekly, Qoöl, where you can hear them regularly testing out new and unusual breakbeat frequencies.

Momu's first single "This Is Momu" was recently licensed to Global Underground to feature on the new Afterhours series. GU has also licensed "The Dive" for Nick Warren's Global Underground: Reykjavik (GU24). Momu's "Sunsicle"? is featured on Hyper's new ?Fractured? compilation out now on Bedrock. The Donner Pass / Sunsicle 12" has received highest acclaim on Bedrock Breaks. Current and forthcoming releases on quality labels such as Kubist, Bedrock Breaks, Functional Breaks, Sabotage Systems, nu-Republic, Spundae Recordings, and Loöq Records are bursting out of the pipeline with big support from the world's top DJ's including John Digweed, Sasha, Jerry Bonham, DJ Hyper, Adam Freeland, Ashley Casselle, Nick Warren, Lee Burridge, Cass, Jonathan Lisle, Blackwatch, Steve Gerrard, Hernan Cattaneo, and Hybrid.

Jondi and Mark have not been resting their laurels on the remix front either. Momu's recent remixes of Cass's "Mind Rewind" (Sabotage) and Justin O'Brien and Jonanthan's "Levitate" (Stellar) are such devastating feats of production that DJ's worldwide were scrapping for the pre-release CDR's. Look for new remixes soon out on Opek (Digital Witchcraft's "Brindavan"), Kubist (Ben Shaw's "Purled") and Loöq Records (Jamie Stevens' "The Night Before").
