John Do:

As both an accomplished artist and founding member of Basic Promotions, John Do has proven that he is an integral part of the burgeoning LA dance community. Considered by his peers as one of LA's most promising artists, John has demonstrated his undeniable talent to capacity crowds at Giant and Avalon Hollywood, where he holds a residency with partner-in-crime, Justin Gourley, Spundae@Circus, Basic, one of LA's most-respected and successful Friday night events, and Sugar in Santa Monica alongside the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler, Steve Porter, Desyn Masiello, to name but a few.

Recognized as a technically savvy DJ, John has quickly become a Los Angeles favorite by spinning a unique sound that cannot be placed in any one genre, style, or standard. Blessed with the intuitive skill of reading a crowd and the ability to spontaneously craft his set, John easily captivates the masses and effortlessly takes them on a musical journey filled with funky basslines, complex percussion, beautifully crafted melodies, and unique atmospheric elements topped off with hints of vocals for good measure.

Justin Gourley:

As a resident DJ at 3 of LA's best events, Justin Gourley has seen his fair share of playtime over the last few years. 2005 kicked off with a New Years gig opening for John Digweed at the Giant Village; the country's largest 21+ New Year's Eve event and a party Justin has played alongside partner in crime, John Do, for the past 3 years.

Monthly, the duo hold a residency at Avalon where they play the patio during Sasha's Fundacion party - a gig that has brought global exposure and accolades for keeping the floor packed and sweaty till the wee hours of sunday morning. Outside of LA's higher profile events, Justin also co-promotes and DJs at Basic - a clubnight he throws with a few friends at King King Club in Hollywood. Running for 3 years now, Basic has established itself as LA's premier small scale clubbing experience with an edgy music policy, quality soundsystem and intimate, friendly vibe.

With the success of the night, Basic has recently gone global with the launch of Basic Frequencies on Proton Radio - a monthly show hosted by Justin and John Do offering up a slice of Los Angeles and spreading the Basic sound to listeners around the globe.

Adam Hagen:

Since moving from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 2001, Adam Hagen has quickly and firmly established himself as one of top up-n-coming DJs in Los Angeles . After having cut his teeth at after-hour parties and smaller events, Adam graduated in 2004 to a residency with Basic, one of the most well-respected and long-running Friday night event in Los Angeles. In addition to this residency, Adam has played at the other top clubs and events in Los Angeles, like Giant @ Avalon, Spundae @ Circus and a number of other local venues.

Drawing from such diverse influences as Derrick Carter to Danny Tenaglia, Adam's sets are not constrained by any one genre. And it is with this versatile and unique style that has garnered Adam the respect of not only LA clubbers, but from his DJ peers. Whether it's playing an opening set as the crowd trickles in or a peak-time set at full capacity, Adam has one goal - to make people dance.
