The classic sound of progressive house meets the new sound of melodic tech as relative newcomers Joachim Spieth (Germany) and MOS (Argentina) join forces with the one and only Chris Micali (USA) for a noteworthy remix EP from Israel's fastest rising electronic musician: Guy J.

Chris Micali,
an artist who's see the coveted #1 spot on Beatport.com and too many Top 10 hits to remember, should be no stranger to Proton fans. With his best-selling remix of "Vaportrail" and numerous features on the "Reversible" show, Micali is a progressive main stay. Not only that, but Chris has recently launched his own music label. Commonwealth Recordings, already in its second release, features music from the Timewriter and upcoming act Island 9-- all remixed by Chris himself!
Spieth, host of Proton's monthly "Showroom", fuses minimal and techno and tech house to create a laid back interpretation of Guy J's masterpiece. For those of you unfamiliar with Spieth's work, get aquainted-- he's one of Germany's most talented upcoming producer/DJs. Previous releases on Kompakt, Traum, BluFin, Global Scum, and plenty others have caught our attention-- check them out on Beatport.
Last but not least, Argentina's MOS (Manuel Sofa) delivers another laidback mix to 'Ear Canal'. MOS, label manager for Pissed Off recordings, is currently on tour with Guy J in South America-- check his MySpace for dates!
Oliver Lieb, Chris Micali, and Nick Warren took note. Will you? Guy J is back with his most prolific release to date. With music forthcoming on Audiotherapy and Guy Gerber's Suplement Facts, Guy J is gearing up for massive year.
The 'Self Love' EP is a techy melodic progressive 3 track affair showcasing the best he has to offer production wise. We hope you like it.
