Opencloud is back at it again with their first release of 2007. This time around the duo has come up with a remix pack from their last EP, L35-116W. Included in the release are three new remixes from Opencloud, a banging mix by newcomer Mr. Rogers, and a late night club mix from resident Proton DJ, Brett King.

Also, be on the lookout at the end of the month for Opencloud's upcoming compilation, Open Up. The compilation will feature tracks off their remix EP, as well as new productions and remixes, including Time Stand Still, which will feature the incredible voice of Kirsty Hawkshaw. Opencloud is the result of many years, relationships and long studio nights. Consisting of Corey Spengler and Blake Potter, Opencloud formed in the early fall of 2004. As two separate talents, Blake and Corey joined together to explore new territory for both of them and to push their music to its furthest reaching breaking point.

Blake began his journey into music at the tender age of 3 years old when his parents bought him a set of fisher-price drums. Then on his 6th birthday he dropped those fisher price drums and got a junior kit. Fast forward a year, Blake began taking an interest to the musical adventures of his Uncle Kevin and Father, Gene. Uncle Kevin, being an early pioneer of the Industrial / Techno sound in the mid-west, quickly influenced Blake with his unique taste of electronic music. One day Blake came home to find his sister rehearsing to a song Kevin had written. Kevin immediately asked him to play along on the drums. From that moment on, Blake fell in love with making music, and it never stopped. (read more)
