Along time coming, but well worth the wait: for Proton's 5th release we present the complete collection of unsigned tracks from our first compilation.
The artists featured on this 10 track EP donated their music over a year ago to support Proton Radio and help us launch our Proton Music label. Now, the long awaited release of the Sound EP aims to not only get their music out there but to also express our thanks for helping make it all possible.
The Sound EP features two tracks from beloved producer Michael Burns (Blue Haze), as well as the much anticipated 'Western High' track by Derek Howell-- remastered and updated exclusively for this release!

Derek Howell
Derek Howell grew up surrounded by music. His first encounters with music at close range were personified by the purchase of his first record player. A seemingly new world opened up as he was introduced to single after single of popular classics by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Who. Little time passed before cassette tapes, and eventually CD’s boasting the sounds of Pink Floyd and Def Leppard filled his cluttered living quarters. (read more)

After 3 years of producing dance music, Michael has carved and structured his own unique sound which has been a breeze of fresh air to the progressive scene. Never happy with bog standard material and constantly trying to capture feeling and soul in his productions has led to quite an impressive discography. (read more)

Canadian Micah Lukasewich is just starting to make his break into the world underground community. Now a signed artist to Silver Planet's new innovative label "The Secret Planet" and with up coming releases on Fade, Acting Out, and Propulsion his extremely varied sound should be heard by all within the coming months. Ray Romano joins forces with industry pioneer Peter Martin, known to many for his work as 'Jade' and his classic 'A Day in the Life of an Eastern Assasin'.
